Troubleshooting & Maintenance: How to Get the Most from Your Cart

Nothing is more frustrating than a clogged cartridge or a battery that won’t fire. Because Cali Clear oil is so thick (90% purity), it requires a little bit of “know-how” to maintain. Follow this guide from our Redlands tech team to ensure your device performs at its peak from the first hit to the last.

1. Dealing with Clogs

Clogging usually happens when the oil cools down and thickens in the airway.

  • The Fix: Never use a paperclip to dig into the airway—this can damage the ceramic coil. Instead, use the “Pre-heat” function on your battery. If you don’t have one, rub the cart between your hands for 60 seconds or use a hair dryer on low heat.

  • Prevention: Always store your Cali Clear 2G or V4 cart upright. Storing them horizontally allows the oil to seep into the chimney.

2. Optimal Voltage Settings

If you are using the Cali Clear V4, voltage is everything.

  • For Flavor: 2.4V – 2.8V. This preserves the terpenes and provides a smooth draw.

  • For Big Clouds: 3.2V – 3.6V. This will hit harder but may slightly “toast” the flavor of the oil toward the end of the cart.

  • Avoid: 4.0V+—this is too hot for our delicate molecular distillate and can burn the ceramic core.

3. Battery Care

For our 2G disposables, ensure you are using a high-quality USB-C cable. Avoid “Fast Chargers” (like MacBook chargers), which can sometimes be too powerful for small vape batteries. A standard phone block or laptop port is ideal.

4. Cleaning the Connections

If your battery says “Check Atomizer” or isn’t firing, use a Q-tip with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol to clean the 510 threads on the cart and the battery. A tiny bit of leaked oil can break the electrical connection.

By following these simple steps, you ensure that every drop of your Cali Clear official oil is vaporized perfectly, giving you the best bang for your buck.
